Radiological imaging solution

Picture Archiving Communication Systems (PACS) are systems that enable archiving, review and distribution of medical images. PACS is a system that manipulates medical records and information. PACS communicates with hospital information systems, radiology information systems, departmental information systems and enables storage and distribution of images to: radiologists, hospital doctors, remote hospital doctors.

PACS stores images from various medical devices (modalities): ultrasound, magnetic resonance (MR), PET scanner, CT scanner, endoscopy (ENDO), mammogram (MG), digital radiography (DR), computed radiography (CR), nuclear medicine (NM)…

It enables sub-specialization management, report processing time reduction and claim and result distribution workflow improvement. It can also improve communication and dialogue between radiology and related units, as well as with other disciplines, such as pathology. In the time of industry where systems run continuously, the solution is designed for high-frequency environments where radiology services are critical.

  1. Thanks to dynamic and static worksheets, it is possible to quickly find the most relevant case to work on.
  2. You can access all the tools needed to review studies and document reports, including intelligent display protocols, 3D rendering, clinical applications, built-in speech recognition, rich reporting functionality and structured reporting templates.

Advanced visualization tools

Lesion tracking application

It helps radiologists organize, compare and measure significant lesions in a structured manner. It will also simplify reporting, as it tracks the number of lesions, their location and progress over time. Preparation of panel meetings will be simplified because it is possible to create presentations with measured lesions within the application. That will increase both effectiveness and quality of treatment.

Anatomical linking

Anatomical linking greatly increases reading efficiency by finding and synchronizing points of interest on CT, MR, and nuclear medicine images, regardless of frame of reference, slice thickness, and FOV.

Users can automatically locate the same position on different images based on anatomical features and thus quickly identify and compare findings such as tumors and hemorrhages.

NM Fusion application

Sectra’s NM Fusion application easily fuses images from different modalities such as PET/CT and SPECT/CT. The application supports fast and efficient reading. With the application, quantitative analysis of the Standardized Uptake Value (SUV) trough VOI Sphere is easily performed.

Vessel Analysis application

The solution makes it easy to measure vessel diameter and length as well as the degree of stenosis. Measurements, annotations and rotations, etc. can easily be stored using bookmarks, enabling efficient consultations and follow-up.

Now we can provide an exact grade of stenosis in a matter of 30-60 seconds. (Associate Professor at the Department of Neuroradiology, Skåne University Hospital, Sweden).

3D Core solution

3D Core solution enables rapid and efficient viewing of 3D volumes and MPR reconstructions directly in Sectra PACS. The user can save and store images, save bookmarks and reconstruct slabs of different thicknesses including MIP, MinIP, etc.

Breast imaging

Comprehensive breast imaging solution enables work from a single workstation whether reading 2D mammograms, digital breast tomosynthesis (3D), ultrasound, or MRI exams – or even wanting to bring up digital pathology images at the panel meeting. It provides all the tools needed for high-volume mammography screening and advanced diagnostic breast imaging workflows. With a solution that provides the best possible user experience and helps streamline the mammography workflow, one can focus on diagnostics, without wasting time waiting for images or information.

Orthopaedic Solution

Modern planning systems with 2D and 3D images let orthopaedic surgeons diagnose and plan orthopaedic procedures – for instance, knee, hip and complex trauma surgery – with greater accuracy and confidence. With increased precision in planning and more advance preparations, surgeons and operating teams can reduce stress, save time, and minimize risk during surgery. For the patients, planning reduces the risk of postoperative complications. For hospitals, it creates a well-documented workflow to meet regulatory demands and improve the teaching facilities.
